We were given a "courtyard room" B1. It was a King size bed that had seen better days. One side was literally broken and compressed which squeaked every time you sat much less rolled over in the bed. It was so hard my shoulder hurt and could not get decent sleep. The bathroom had a leak so the floor remained wet and we had to place towels to keep from getting our feet wet. The owners were contacted and "thanked us for the heads up" but did not fix the issue while we were there. TV did not work, cell phone service was sketchy in the room and NO it was not haunted. The only ghost we saw was the figurine going into the bathroom. Pic included for your pleasure. The door to enter was a locked gate that did not lock so unsafe and anyone could walk into this area. Good point was location as close to everything and the owner was pleasant and allowed us a later check out time than stated. BTW, check out is 10am not 11am as shown on GOOGLE. Based on overall experience, this hotel is overpriced and we did end up staying in two other places that were nicer and less money.

Location could not have been better. Just right in the middle of everything, especially Decatur Street, which became one of our favorite places in town. The staff was incredibly kind. Their recommendations were spot on and they made sure we had everything we needed, including delivering things to our room when they didn't need to.

Ginger is a wonderful host and an absolute life saver! We booked a place claiming to be "The Haunted Hotel" because we were wanting to stay here. When we arrived we figured out is wasn't the same place. The other place had no A/C and the room was dirty. Ginger was so amazing and saved a room for us here in case the other one didn't work out. We immediately came back here and we're so glad we did! Ginger showed us around the hotel. It's very clean. The A/C works awesome. The TV was bigger than majority of hotels I've stayed at in the past. We come to New Orleans periodically and we will definitely be coming back here to stay. It's in a super convenient and quiet area. Located close to a lot of art galleries and cute boutiques.

It was so cool. In hindsight I wish I would have booked one of the nicer rooms towards the back cause the little hideaway side room I had didn't have the nicest bathroom (especially compared to my friend who had one of the back rooms and such a nice shower). The bathroom door didn't shut all the time as there is no handle, only a small hook. The bed was not super comfortable and it creaked when you sat on it. And being right by the walkway (it's attached to this little alley) caused all the noise/drunk people loudly talking as they walked by to echo into the room. Never got to actually meet the staff but the lady on the phone was very nice. Overall, it was a once in a lifetime experience and really cool. And I think we were visited by Maime (the original owner of the hotel) as our bathroom light flickered a bunch but only at night time, and after looking it up, that's apparently how you can tell she's there. Like it never happened during the day or the next morning, only later at night. And when I finally turned the TV off to sleep, I swear a shadow came from the small closet (that just has a curtain for a door) and came next to me in bed and I got too scared and turned the TV back on, but isn't that the point of a haunted hotel :P

First time in New orleans and this was such a great hotel. I'm ready to go back and while i want to try other hotels, i think i would just book this one again because it's in such a great spot and has everything we need. As far as the haunted part goes, it's definitely got a spooky vibe. I had a dream a guy was coming at me and i woke up but we had nothing else mysterious happen. Christina was great. She was really great to talk to. She also recommended the museum of death which is one of my favorite things that we did while visiting. Also there's a kitty in the window of a residence next door and we loved visiting with her. Bed was cozy, shower was hot, used the fridge and coffee maker but never even used the microwave. It was seriously the most perfect accommodations for the 4 nights we stayed. I hope to return soon! ♡♡♡♡

This place is phenomenal! Our room is perfect, with a super comfy bed, a great AC system, good space, and an unbelievable walk-in glass shower. The owner and son are great people and it is so welcoming. The spirits here are real! The experience has been perfect!

Loved our stay at the Haunted Hotel! Parking was street only, but luckily found a spot right out front and left my car there all weekend with no issues. The front doors are padlocked, which made me think I had been scammed at first. But the entrance is a locked gate over to the right which leads down a narrow alley into a cozy courtyard, so we felt safe hanging out at night there. Staff was amazing and very cordial! Our bed was huge and comfortable! It was a couple blocks off of Bourbon St and close to Jackson Square. It was my first time coming to NOLA, and I will definitely be going back, and I’m going to stay at the Haunted Hotel every trip I take back!
